What this site collects
Fortylight collects the minimum needed to run the site: basic analytics (pages visited, general location by country, device type), and, if you sign up for it, the email address you give the newsletter. No account or payment information is collected directly by this site.

This site uses cookies for basic analytics and, if you’re in the UK or EU, asks for consent before any non-essential cookie loads. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer, and refusing is exactly as easy as accepting.
Email list
Joining the newsletter is opt-in only — no pre-checked box. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate. Under U.S. law (CAN-SPAM), every email also carries this site’s physical mailing address: [MAILING ADDRESS — add before this page goes live].
Your rights
If you’re in the UK or EU (GDPR), you can request a copy of what’s held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent at any time. If you’re in California (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what’s collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing — this site does not sell personal information, and a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link is in the footer for you to confirm that preference directly.
